Hi! Welcome to a new little series here on my blog called Teamie Tuesdays! Basically, all of the Stampin’ Up! demonstrators that are a part of Team Ugly Bug under our upline Michelle will be showcasing a small project that they have made using their kit. We will usually be having a bit of a theme, but since a few of us have only just signed up and are light on kit at the moment, this week we just though we would start with any project!
One of the items that I selected for my demonstrator’s kit was the Envelope Punch Board. I have been wanting one of these for ages. Not only does it allow you to make perfect envelopes every singe time in a range of sizes, but it can also be used to make other projects too! However, today I am just sticking with the basics and doing the envelopes. I also got the In Colour Envelope Paper with my kit. The paper is not as thick as cardstock, but is stronger than standard paper so it’s ideal for envelopes.
I was eager to get started and I had cut my paper down to size and read the instructions – or so I thought. My first 2 were a disaster! It was then I realised I had not paid close enough attention to the steps! So if you do decide to purchase the punch board, my top tip is READ steps 4 to 6 carefully! Once figured it out I trimmed off the mistakes and just turned those two into smaller envelopes instead! That is my other top tip for today! Don’t throw away mistakes, you can salvage them 9 out of 10 times, even if it is just to use scraps for a Gift tag or a Project Life card!
As you can see it is fairly easy once you get the hang of it and there is even a little reverse punch to round off the corners! Now, here is a look at my finished envelopes.
If you are interested in trying out the Stampin’ Up! Envelope Punch Board or any other products for yourself then take a look at my online shop – the hostess code for this month is DXFX66Q9. Don’t forget that it is currently Sale-a-Bration, so for every £45 you spend you get to choose a free product from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue.
Now, don’t forget to see what the rest of the girls on Team Ugly Bug are doing!
