Three for Thursday: Best Laid Plans

TFT

While I do have a passion for papercrafts, in my heart I will always be a planner girl. I was over the moon when Stampin’ Up released a planner in the new catalouge. Not just a planner, but also lots of other items that can be used in planners too. Here is my pick of the top 3 planner products in the new catalogue.

  1. Love Today Planner Kit [£33 Item #144357]
    Planner

How gorgeous is the Love Today Planner? The planner is abut A5 size and it is Night of Navy with gold foil swiss dots and gold corners. It contains undated inserts for the entire year, photo pocket sleeves, sticky notes, stickers, page marker and pockets.
  2. Tabs For Everything Photopolymer Stamp Set [£15 Item #143907]
I have just recently gotten into stamping in my planner so I was really pleased to see these stamps in the latest catalogue. The Tabs for Everything photopolymer stamp set includes 53 stamps that can be used to create tabs and headers for Planners, but which can also be used for other projects to. There is also a tab punch coming which fits these perfectly, but it is on back order at the moment.

As a planner girl, if there is one thing I love then it is a shaped paperclip! I’m far too ashamed to admit how many drawers – that’s right I said DRAWERS – are full of clips in a variety of shapes and sizes! Of course, I will STILL be placing an order for these gorgeous Eclectic Shaped paperclips there are 24 clips across the 3 different shapes – triangles, banners and leaves!

This week, the theme I am choosing from is Foil! There are some amazing foil products in the catalogue including an entire product suite called Foil Frenzy! Here are my top 3 picks for this week!

  1. Foil Frenzy Speciality Designer Series Paper [£11.50 Item #144125]
How gorgeous is this pack of Foil Frenzy DSP? This is speciality DSP which means it is slightly thicker, more like cardstock than paper and it has some gorgeous foil detailing. You get 12 sheets covering 3 designs across 4 colours. You get a striped pattern, a chevron pattern and a confetti pattern. All of them are printed on Kraft paper and the foil colours are : Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Soft Sky and Tangerine Tango. These are current Stampin’ Up colours so you can also find co-ordinating items in the catalouge including embellishments, cardstock and inks.
    FoilFrenzy

Three For Thursday: Let’s Hear It For The Boys!

TFT

Welcome back to another Three for Thurdsay post here at Scarlet Moon Crafts. This week I am turning my attention to the boys! I have my teenager’s 17th birthday looming and my husband is about to graduate university – not to mention Father’s day is fast approaching! Have you ever noticed that it can be tough to find gorgeous craft supplies for adult male cards and projects? I am like a little magpie drawn to bright colours and glitter so my stash needs a serious testosterone injection. I have sat down with a cuppa and the Stampin’ Up! catalogue and found some wonderful products for male projects. These are my top three!

3 – Bookcase Builder Stamp Set

This is not necessarily a male orientated set, but I think the Bookcase Builder Stamp Set is a great option if you want to make a card for a male friend or relative. It is ideal for building up a bookcase to replicate his office or man-cave, but it is versatile enough that you can make a card for just about anyone. It is also great for new home or new job cards!

2 – One Wild Ride Stamp Set

These One Wild Ride Stamps are great for making male cards and projects, even if the man in your life is not a biker. You could also use them to document bike shows, trips to the transport museum or even road trips. This is a two step stamp set which means that you can build up the image your way!

1 – Urban Underground Suite

Urban Underground

My top pick for this week is the Urban Underground Suite. Sometimes it is really hard to find a nice ‘male’ or at least gender neutral kit that is not for kids. I think the Urban Underground Suite really hits the nail on the head – if you pardon the pun! The core colours are Basic Black, Basic Grey, Delightful Dijon and Very Vanilla with a touch of silver foil. Although the overriding theme of the set is actually construction and father’s day, the patterns on the paper are geometric and would actually work well for any occasion and any gender. I’ve seen it paired with the Beautiful You Stamp Set for a really feminine card too, so it is really versatile.

Easter @ Scarlet Moon Crafts

It seems like this year is flying by. I can’t believe that Easter is almost upon us! With just over two weeks to go, it is definitely time to start dressing those planners for Easter! That’s why I thought it would be a great idea to share some of the Easter items that I currently have available in my Etsy Store! Also, as a little added bonus you can use the code EasterBlog for 10% off when you spend £5 or more (Expires April 15).

One of the most popular items that I have been selling this Spring has been this bright and cheerful Daffodil Planner Clip. We sold a bunch around St David’s Day, but they have continued to be popular throughout Spring.  These are priced at just £2.00 and are the ideal addition to your planner either as a pocket decal or a page marker.

Now, I don’t know about you, but when I think about Easter the very first thing that springs to mind is probably bunnies and boy do we have bunnies for you! Let’s start with some planner bands! These adorable bunny planner bands are £2.99 and you can choose a grey bunny on a pale blue glitter band, or a white bunny on a pink glitter band.

20170402_213648Now, if you thought those guys were cute then what if I told you that we also have matching planner clips? As well as clips featuring those very same white and grey bunnies, we also have the cutest little bunny head clip as well! These are priced £2.00 each.

So, we have the obligatory Daffodils. We have the Easter bunny. What is missing? Oh, of course! We are definitely going to be needing some Easter eggs! We have several designs of Easter Egg planner clips and planner bands in store for you to choose from.

The first design is our Resin Easter Egg planner clips. Those have been incredibly popular and some of the designs are already sold out. We do still have 5 designs in stock though so grab em while you can!

If the resin is not your thing we also have some pretty felt Easter Egg Planner Clips as well in a range of designs and colours. These are priced at £1.50 each.

Also in stock at the moment I have a selection of imperfect designs / seconds. These were designs that I was not happy with and decided to discontinue. These are now priced only to cover materials and are a great way to pick up a bargain. Some of the Easter items in stock include foam bunny clips, Easter egg planner bands and of a different design of felt Easter egg clips.

Hop on over to Scarlet Moon Crafts on Etsy and grab yourself an Easter bargain. Don’t forget about that discount code – EasterBlog to get your discount on qualifying orders.
